I’ve been a passionate creator since I was a child. Life in Art was a very personal project for me and witnessing King Orange read my mind and give it a form and texture was a once in a lifetime experience. I’m very happy with how LIA, as a brand, looks and feels.

The Challenge

Art is a subjective and ambiguous path. It requires immense empathy and patience to express what goes on in an artists’ mind, let alone give it tangible shape and form. King Orange’s team was facing someone’s passion that needed an outlet. How to design a logo and branding that harmonises what Simon was envisioning and hoping for?

They had to create something aesthetic that also demanded to be taken seriously. Not just another art blog in the world, but a safe space that shared something worth listening to.

How King Orange Helped

After weeks of interviews, reading lifestyle magazines, research work and coffee table conversations,  King Orange’s stellar designing experts created something that struck a chord with Simon. Sam’s team took inspiration from vintage pop art and mixed it with a modern minimalism that ultimately paved the way for a design that appealed to both old and new-fashioned art enthusiasts.

The design’s for Life in Art did complete justice to what the brand was trying to convey to people: the rawness and authenticity of art that spills out of everyday life.

This was a project our team really enjoyed completing. Being art lovers ourselves, we knew we had to keep it simple and let the art do its job. This purity was something we wanted to reflect in the designs.’
